depression & other mood disorders

What is depression?

We all go through tough times where stress, sadness, or exhaustion creep in. Usually, these feelings pass, but sometimes they linger and make everything feel harder. If you've noticed that the weight of these emotions isn't lifting, it might be more than just a rough patch—it could be depression. It’s something many people face, and finding the right support can make a world of difference.

Depression can leave you feeling stuck, even when the things causing stress in your life seem to have been resolved. The emotions don’t just switch off, and sometimes, the symptoms can even worsen over time. You’re not alone in this—about 25% of people will experience depression at some point. It doesn’t discriminate and can affect anyone, regardless of gender, age, or background.
