Sometimes there's an obvious reason you're struggling. Other times, you simply know you don't feel like yourself anymore.
You might feel overwhelmed, anxious or emotionally exhausted. You may find yourself overthinking everything, reacting in ways you don't understand, struggling in your relationships, or feeling stuck in patterns that keep repeating despite your best efforts to change them.
The good news is that these experiences rarely happen without reason. Together, we'll work to understand what's really happening beneath the surface, creating the insight needed for meaningful, lasting change.
One of the biggest misconceptions about therapy is that it's about finding what's wrong with you.
I don't believe that.
Most of the ways we think, feel and respond developed for understandable reasons. They often began as ways of adapting to difficult experiences, protecting ourselves emotionally, or making sense of the world around us.
The problem isn't that these patterns exist. It's that they often continue long after they've stopped serving us.
Therapy helps you understand those patterns with curiosity rather than judgement, creating the awareness needed to respond differently and move forward with greater confidence.
We often focus on the thoughts, emotions or behaviours we want to change, without understanding what's driving them.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, grief, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties or low self-worth, there's often more happening beneath the surface than first meets the eye.
The experiences you've had throughout your life influence the way you see yourself, relate to others, respond to stress and cope with difficult emotions. That doesn't mean your past defines your future—it simply means your experiences make sense.
Understanding those patterns doesn't keep you stuck in the past. It helps you move beyond it.
Every person arrives with a different story, which is why I don't believe therapy should be one-size-fits-all.
I draw on evidence-based approaches including attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches and other therapeutic models, tailoring therapy to your individual needs, goals and experiences.
More importantly, I believe therapy should make sense.
My role isn't to tell you what to do or simply offer coping strategies. It's to help you understand why you're struggling, recognise the patterns keeping you stuck, and support you in creating meaningful, lasting change.
You don't have to keep trying to work it all out on your own.
Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, grief, stress, relationship challenges, low self-worth or simply because life doesn't feel the way you hoped it would, I'd love to help you better understand yourself and what's been getting in the way.
